Susannah’s Microcurrent Journey, part 4 of a series

For context: I’m Susannah Nation, the new-ish owner of Moonstone Skincare, and formerly of Real Kind, the little Novato apothecary with the mosquito spray and kickass skincare products.

I lost 40 pounds with Wegovy—and now I’ve got loose skin, a complicated relationship with my mirror, and a renewed interest in building confidence.

So I’m strapping in (literally) for 8 microcurrent sessions in 24 days, the same 24 to Contour September challenge that we just opened up to our clients. I’m documenting all of it: the awkward photos, the weird muscle spasms, the wins, and the moments where I question all my life choices.

Let’s see what happens together. (Secure your spot in the limited 24 to Contour Microcurrent Body-Sculpting Challenge here.)

Almost Halfway Through: Are These ..… Changes I’m Feeling?!

This week I learned what happens when you let seven whole days slip between sessions: it’s like skipping the gym for a week, then walking back in like you own the place—only to remember your body does not, in fact, lift things for fun. My core was like, “Wait, we’re doing this again?” Still, I felt the muscles working hard in a good way.

That’s why we recommend 2–3 sessions per week, every week, for 4–6 weeks. Consistency is the key. Our September 24 to Contour challenge locks participants into two sessions per week (Wednesday and Friday), no excuses, so the results keep building.

Now that I’ve passed the halfway point, I’m feeling real changes. My back feels so much better. Honestly, that’s been the surprise win so far—my core feels stronger, and my lower back isn’t nagging me constantly. Also, I’m still sleeping like a champ.

No photos or video this time—my abs and I look the same as last week. Just imagine me lying there looking equal parts determined, relaxed, and vaguely like a rotisserie chicken.
