Moonstone Skincare is a boutique facial studio in downtown Novato, consistently voted Best Skincare in Marin. We specialize in customized facials, advanced treatments, and long-term skincare plans that help our clients achieve real, lasting results.

We are seeking a polished licensed esthetician with a valid CA Esthetician or Cosmetology license and at least two years of hands-on experience as a practicing esthetician. This is a part-time position with potential for additional hours. Initially, we are looking for our new team member to work one weeknight shift per week (12:45-8:30 pm), and two Saturdays a month (9 am - 3 pm).

At Moonstone, we are skincare coaches, not just service providers. Clients come to us for expertise and guidance. Every esthetician is expected to create clear treatment plans, recommend how often clients should return, prescribe home care that supports results, and confidently discuss rebooking, retail, and next steps in every service. This is not hard selling. It is professional coaching delivered warmly and clearly.

The role includes

  • performing customized facials and advanced skincare treatments

  • rebooking clients and encouraging consistent schedules

  • recommending products, add-ons, and packages

  • maintaining detailed client notes

  • participating in paid trainings and team meetings

  • helping keep the studio calm, clean, and organized

  • following all sanitation, safety, and Board compliance standards.

Our dream team member’s qualifications and expectations include:

  • Valid CA Esthetician or Cosmetologist license (non-negotiable)

  • minimum of two years of experience as a working esthetician

  • strong comfort with sales, including rebooking and retail

  • experience with custom facials, facial waxing, peels, hydradermabrasion, and nano-infusion (or willingness to be trained)

  • Dermaplaning certification preferred

  • a warm and professional demeanor

  • reliability and steadiness under pressure

  • an appreciation for a harmonious, supportive, low-drama workplace.

Compensation & Benefits
